With the ADF's recent decision to purchase of up to 4 C-17s for the RAAF, there are now plans to retire 6-8 of the 12 C-130H Hercs currently in service with 36SQN.
If this goes ahead, do you think it would be a good idea for the RNZAF to look at obtaining a couple (or more) of these C-130Hs from Australia?

Depending on the actual state of the aircraft I'd say yes. But we'd then end up operating 2 different configurations even though they are both H models they would still be different. And that can be a pain, trust me I deal wioth it every day :-)
