RAF Woodvale - My local airfield

And it is local !! - Just four kilometers from my house. Here's a couple of photos I took last weekend - weather was poor as you can see, just got unlucky as the whole of the previous ten days it had been glorious, clear skies and an average of 20deg !!









The first ever Pitts Special assembled and registered in the UK. Pilot just dropped in for a visit and a bite of lunch !













Needing absolutely no introduction on this site - A privately owned JP5 that seems to be permanently based at Woodvale nowadays.













A couple of the Liverpool University Air Squadron Grobs that live at Woodvale. Not as noisy as the old Bulldogs they replaced and not nearly as photogenic as the Chipmunks that were here before them.
