Yep, that last one looks a little too close for my liking too! When the other aircraft is close enough that you can count the rivets, that must make the old heart beat a bit faster than usual?
I'd imagine it would be difficult to hold the camera steady during some of those manouvres?

What a great series of photos Alex. Thanks for posting them. I especially liked the last one, an unusual angle to see.

It was one of the best trips are far as vibration was concerned, almost none and the only time it was hard to hold the camera was during the loops when we were pulling about 2.5 g.

Great stuff, you are an excellent photographer.
My wife and I just brought a new Canon 350D, not that I know what to do with it except point and shoot(I leave the tech stuff to her and her hobby) What I would do to use it up in a trip like that!
About 2 years ago I went for a 1/2hr flight with Greame Bethel in his Mustang, and I wish I had a camera then........aaah well memories. Hopefully I will still remember it when I am old and frail!
Thanks for the awesome pics.
Cheers
Anthony

Quite like the shot of the formation on the downside of what looks like a loop. Those guys are very good pilots, great formation work ;D
