The aircraft was taxiing along the runway when the crew noticed the fumes. An Air Force spokesperson says a decision was made to evacuate the aircraft as the cause could not be determined. Fourteen crew members on board were taken to Whenuapai Base hospital for medical checks. Maintenance staff are checking the aircraft to find out where the fumes came from. © NewsRoom 2006
