I hear on the news that the NZ Army and No. 3 Squadron's Iroquois's have been called in to assist with the disaster relief for the farnmers trapped in the high country regions and snowbound areas of the South Island.
This seems almost as bad as the big freeze of 1992 where the Squadron and other RNZAF and Army personnel, plus many volunteers, did a fantastic job of saving stock and people stuck in the snow. It could be busy times for the chopper boys, good luck to them.
