I wonder if the Canberra was one of our old ones we sold them in 1970? This B(I)58, IF907, was to have been XH237 for the RAF but it, with several others was diverted off MoD contract as part of a 68 aircraft deal for India placed in January 1957 www.bywat.co.uk/if907.html

Great photos Ian. Who was the large gold statue depicting? A famous pilot? Fg Off Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon: A towering statue of Fg Off N J S Sekhon, the only IAF personnel to ever recieve the Param Vir Chakra , India's highest Gallantry award.

Flat tyres and all , good on them, they could all have become pots.! Thanks for the photos. I wonder what else may come out of that vast country in the future, maybe a few biplanes ?

Indian industry provided huge resources for the Allies in WWII, which many people are not really that aware of today, but did they ever produce any aircraft or parts for aircraft in WWII?
