I was recently contacted about an aircraft for sale in Australia there is a Auster Mark 4 (World war 2 military version) and is not yet advertised in any magazines or trade papers yet. (But will be in a week or so)
It is dismantled at present so could be a good project for someone looking for a military Auster.
Photos are available and she has the logbooks (most important).
If you are keen (and I stress keen........no tyre kickers! ;D)

Hi Baz,
From the research I've been able to conduct, she's a Mk V not IV.
Interestingly held the registration VH-PUF which was given to a C182RG in the mid 90's that had a ground up rebuild carried out which was the subject of an article in the Australian AOPA magazine at the time.
Quite historical nonetheless so would be interesting to find out more, cheers!

What happened to that ex - Oz dismantled one that was for sale here in NZ (TradeMe?) maybe a year ago? It is flying out of Feilding as ZK-AGY, it has just got it's nz c of a. |
