Hopped on the bike and rode up to the Danish Aalborg airshow yesterday - wet & windy - but some really great flying and some good ground displays. Lots of loud AB, high G, low down jets - Danes with their F-16s, Swedish Gripens, Luftwaffe Typhoons etc. Few photos below. Rgds Hvd1041 Aalborg is in the north of Denmark - about three hours from where I am working. Danes have been flying the F-16s for decades now - well maintained aircraft - and some really neat flying - cloud base was about 500 ft in drizzle. Norweigen P-3 F-16 in the Hangar - connected to a Hyd Rig - would have looked very similar in RNZAF service.... Gripen EH-101 - big beastie - put on a good display A builder.... Neat Historic displays as well Usual Tanker / Transports Hope you enjoy...airborne ones were the 'grey dot in the grey sky variety' sadly.

Great selection of photos there, Harvard1041 - pity about the weather.
It's funny that someone from WoNZ went along to this, as I have been following the lead up to this air show via the Flyvevåbnet Facebook page.
On Friday they posted this clip:
The weather wasn't looking very promising then either.......

I remember Aalborg when we went up that way in the mid 90's. Loved Denmark. Are you in Flensburg?

Neat piccies; loved Denmark - very handsome people there - especially the girls I wonder what the little skull and cross bones markings on the nose of the Lynx represent?

Think the Lynx markings are from the Danish work against Somali pirates. The Danish girls are a good looking bunch - as they say, 'It's in the jeans, and tight T-shirts ' Had a look around the Danish FlyMusuem today - very nice collection. Museum Building complete with plastic Spitfire Spitfire MK XIX Hunter - think the Danes had about Qty 60 in the day Harvard IIB - Canadian Built C-47 - very cool skis - the Danes operated them in Greenland ( which I think is / was a Danish colony ). Danish Designed & Built KZ aircraft - a complete hall of unique Danish a/c Hawker Dancock - Sydney Camm designed fighter. The coolest Fueling Tanker - got to love it ! Dove

A very nicely kept collection by the looks of it. Some of those types i don't recognise. What are the aeroplanes marked with 'Zonen' and with '158'?

Fantastic photos, thanks for posting them. Are the Swedish Harvards part of the museum display?

Don't think the Harvards ( being Swedish ) have any connection to this Museum. Here's a few more: Very nice Catalina F-16A Draken Another Danish Designed KZ machine Very Danish - Lancaster model built from Lego ..and often the best part of Museums - the storage shed - in this case a Swedish Firefly ... plus lots of interesting boxes. Great photos there - but you start to feel old when F-16s are now ending up in museums!
No North American F-100s in the collection?

Very neat museum, as expected of the Danes. Thanks for posting Harvard1041; Makes sense about the Lynx markings - and the girls . A bit about the Danish KZ machines. Built by Skandinavisk Aero Industrie, the high wing aeroplane is a KZ III and the twin is a SAI KZ IV, both first flew during the German occupation in 1944 and both were designed as air ambulances. These aircraft are flyable. That Dancock is based on the Hawker Woodcock II and is the oldest surviving Hawker built fighter. A real gem. The Spitfire is actually a Mk.IX; perhaps an extra 'X' creeped in... Great photos!
