I have put together the list of Pilots who flew the DC3 on topdressing operations, with the help of Dave Starr. I have sent requests to some to maybe give more info on their time flying them. www.kiwibeavers.com/files/DC3_Pilots2.xls

I was talking with one of Mike Judd's sons last week, I can get his contact details if you need them. He's kind-of retired, based in Whitianga.

Very interesting list thanks mate, and this brings back some fond memories of seeing the ag-Daks operating around Hawkes Bay as I was growing up.
I recal Harley showing me through ZK-CAW at Napier one day, he was working from the airport that day & carried out around 15 loads from memory.
I recall seing fieldair Daks operating from Oringi, Dannevirke & Lochinvar station (on the Napier -Taupo rd).

Was just talking Mike Cronin (my father) last week about Daks - he had the sad job of flying them back to Palmerston North to be scrapped. He had alot to sasy about your list of pilots in the AG-DAK thread - some of the details are wrong - will ask him if he would like to get in touch with you - Brett

Flew mainly CAW in Napier until the end of November 1980 when the Napier operation closed down. Retired in Whangamata.

I flew with an ex Fieldair pilot. I will send him a link to this and see if he's interested in providing any info.
Should also note that John Verluen currently lurks around the North Shore Aero Club and willingly tells stories to anyone within earshot- which covers quite a large area as he talks loudly.

Hey Alan, hope I don't have to start a list of people who sat it the right seat of a Dak?? There would be quite a few on this forum alone.

Graeme yet another excellent thread full of information. It constantly blows me away with the time and effort you have bothered to research and document so others can enjoy so it is not lost forever. Awesome! And that goes for others on here too.
