Fantastic to see an F 1-11 has been trucked to Temora to join the TAM.

Great. Will it be static or a flying example?

Hey, they fly a Canberra, a Sabre, a Meteor, and I think have a Mirage too. Why not a flying Pig?

The F-111 A8-142 was traveling through Temora on its way to Wagga Wagga RAAF base where it will go on static exhibit. I don't think Temora are getting one. If they do, it won't be a flyer. Part of the conditions of loan to museums is that they are static. The RAAAF keeps ownership.

ahh, thanks for that. I saw a picture of an F1-11 in Temora and put 2 + 2 together and got something other than 4 !!!
Sorry about that. Seemed plausable that they'd have one for static though. Especially given the fantastic relationship between the TAM and the RAAF.
Sorry for misleading. Honest mistake.

I seem to remember Temora has little interest in static aircraft and there would be troubles getting one flying. I remember this being talked about at the Warbirdz forum soon after retirement.
