Lovely shots Gav. Who owns the Devon? Is that one of the ex GTW ones recently disposed of? Has the Skyhawk been cleaned up and put on display yet?

Great photos! It looks like another wonderful day in paradise (with the right kind of ducks, and all!)
Devon NZ1805 was INST219 at No. 4TTS, Woodbourne, yes.
The little monoplane is a recently built Morane, rolled out yesterday. One of the builders is a member of this forum - I'm not sure if he wants to remain anonymous so I'll leave that up to him.

What are the plans for the Devon? Is it a new toy?

The Devon is one of the two put up for sale last year from the GTW. I was the under-bidder to the successful bid for both 05 and 06 and I have to say that I'm delighted they've both ended up with new owner who may identify himself here if he so wishes. He may be happy to outline the immediate plans, - I'm sure there would be many of you interested to know. Suffice to say NZ1805 and NZ1806 are in great hands and I believe 05 will be back in the air before too long hopefully.
The Devon is a majorly under-rated warbird, and talk to anyone whose flown one, an absolute delight in the air.
I was mounting the co pilots seat in my Devon 1820 fuselage the other day and I have to say, that cockpit is tight ! It's a real mission to contort my 6'2" frame in there !!!! Designed for short-arses ;D

I'm only 5 foot 7 and the time I went into a Devon I was amazed how tiny the cockpit is, it's like a fighter. Actually I think it's more roomy in the Mosquito and two seat Vampire, isn't it?

Hi all, the little french monoplane is a 1915 Morane Saulnier G, and its not so little when you try to climb into it.
It was designed and built by myself, with able assistance from my father Jim, fabric by Christine Holthouse, and several volunteers pitching in as well.
I hope to hand it on to its owners, the Omaka Aviation Heritage centre, late next week, where it will be installed in the foyer of the museum

The Skyhawk is still being prepared for display. Some volunteers have done an awesome job removing the left over white stuff, 16 was still wearing quite a bit of it when we got it and is looking a lot better but some more work still to go. Will be nice to see it outside again some time once the work is complete but having seen it yesterday it looks great.

The Morane wont fly in the foreseeable future, by this time next week it may well be hanging in the AHC foyer. That being said it could be made to fly, however it lacks an engine, prop, fuel tank and controls at this stage.

Damn it I missed another one! I reckon Graham Orphan keeps it secret from me so I'll work on the Auster! ;D (There maybe a smidgeon of truth there since i did a wee job on the Auster on Saturday....................first time this month!) Awesome photos Gav, that Stearman looks great. Also good to see a Devon that will return to the skies again! Dave (davelochead) that Morane looks great, must have been a drafty beast to fly!
