I can't find that No 5 Squadron book thread, but I've ordered a copy and read the flyer. It's a bit of 'deja vu' seeing all those names from yesteryear of people once familiar, a reminder to me that I've been around longer than the Orions! Names like Morry Robinson, Roger Binney, Hugh Francis, Derek Flintoff, almost all of them ex-Sunderlands. John Hart the SS guy. A few years after the arrival, Air New Zealand was like another RNZAF Squadron there were so many ex-RNZAF pilots flying.
Hugh Francis had an E-type Jag, i recall, and drove it like there was no tomorrow!
