This year's Legends was run at a more relaxed pace than usual, but it still managed to entertain, excite and exhilarate in equal measures. I've just skimmed through my photos so far. I only attended on Saturday, I had a ticket for Sunday but I decided to show some commitment to the Shuttleworth Collection show that was on the same day. Anyway, enough rambling, here are some photos, the full set's at www.flickr.com/photos/shuttleworthpix/sets/72157630347047594/ I'll add to it as I go through my photos. All photos can be viewed at 2000 pixels wide by clicking on the Flickr link, right clicking on the photo and selecting "original". The photos look much better at that size. Fantastic shots Rob. I really like the Swordfish shots.
What is the story behind the Sopwith Triplane? That's not the Shuttleworth one, is it?
And is that medal ribons on the Bearcat cowl?

Love the shot of the Swordfish banking away. Thanks for sharing and for making them available in such a large format.

Love the Spitfire Shots. They almsot make you think they are air to air. The one with the three Spits head on would be brown trouser time for a 109 pilot glancing back over his shoulder.. :"Gott ein himmel!!" TACKA TACKA TACKA TACKA!!!!

Superb pics, this show is at the top of my wish list, that flypast would be something to die for. 21 ww2 warbirds in one big gaggle, cor blimey. I scared my son by being able to ID them all. probably means I should've got out more. Steve.

Its a reproduction operated by the Great War Display Team powered by a Warner Scarab engine; its in the colours of the Tripe prototype N500. These guys also fly a Nieuport as well, if I can remember.

Pterry good Robbo! Superb pics, this show is at the top of my wish list, that flypast would be something to die for. 21 ww2 warbirds in one big gaggle, cor blimey. Pretty impressive - however IIRC, the most we counted in the final Balbo was 35 or 36 at one year's Legends. Another event at Duxford had 16 Spitfires in formation. I think we'll see better in the future, too, with luck. Regards,
