Dave..it's an Airco DH.9
I would suggest if you are in the area go and visit it - don't expect the quality of say Hendon but some of the exhibits are unique. The shop is closed ( supposedly opening again next month but looking very empty still) France like most of Europe has been hit hard economically and this is showing at a lot of public facilities.

It's been like that for years; the place really needs a good dusting. Fantastic collection of stuff, especially their pre WW1 aircraft; one of the largest in the world, but evrything is covered in a fine coat of dust. A nice lot of WW2 aircraft as well, including a Dewoitine D.520, which was an attractive, if not effective little fighter.

A fantastic collection, which was for many years regarded as the best in the world. Somewhere in there they also have the Short Sandringham F-OBIP which was at one time operated in the South Pacific by P G Taylor as VH-APG "Frigate Bird III".

For a long time it was the only D.H.9 surviving in original condition and thus was quite a significant aircraft; it's preserved rather than restored. The Indians had/have one, but it's a bit of a mish mash and a number of years ago a cache of airframes were found there. One has been restored and placed on display at Duxford.
The Sandringham is no longer on display, sadly; at present it's covered in bird shit at the museum store at Dugny. It sat outside for many years, I don't know if it still is or not.
