Yes that was an interesting read. I also like the fact that its the "Dominion's" cloud calvery. You don't hear that word mentioned much these days.

That is because we are no longer a Dominion, though back then we were.

So what makes the difference, was it prior to the formation of the Commonwealth? Or were we still under more direct influence from "the home office"?

I think it changed in 1949 or so when the Empire became the Commonwealth, and NZ Passports became New Zealand and not British, etc. Not certain though of all the facts, someone here will know.
