Operation Silver Bullet was the RNZAF Vampire's official farewell.
A No. 14 Squadron Vampire team formed specifally for a tour of New Zealand in late November 1972, to undergo farewell flypasts as they were being withdrawn and replaced by BAC Strikemasters.
The team of five aircraft included three two-seat Vampire T.11's and two single-seat FB.5 Fighters. It was lead by Sqn Ldr John Hosie, and one of the venues of the tour was a display over Wellington on the 23rd of November 1972.
Does anyone know where else the team flew over, and also the names of the other four pilots? Any other details would also be welcome. Thanks.

Gee Dave, you had me all excited there - I thought this might have been secret code for an operation to rid NZ of Helen the Witch! ;D
I reckon you'd probably need a silver bullet to kill her too, or at least a stake through the heart - if she has one! ;D
