A bunch of alaskans free a Gumman G-21 from a frozen lake after it suffered engine failure and force landed. Brilliant movie.

Thats a great bit of footage. Excellent sound track to go with it. Wonder what caused both engines to quit (fuel?) surely not!

yes but did they get it airborne? The video just stops when the pilot is discussing it!

yes but did they get it airborne? The video just stops when the pilot is discussing it! U have to watch the whole thing baz Yes they did fly it using the hull to skate across the ice and the video shows them landing at a strip wheels down as well after the recovery

EDIT: Yep well done!!

There's a little trick you can use if a YouTube video clip stops part-way through it and then changes to the end-screen (showing other video clips). Use your mouse to grab the little progress slider down the bottom and pull it just past the point where it has stopped. Within a few seconds, the video will begin downloading again from that point and will carry on. You then drag the slider back to just before the point where it froze, and it should then play the video clip right to the end.
