Just noted this on Newstalk: -
"A fresh review into a fatal Anzac Day Air Force chopper crash
18 December 2019 The 2010 accident claimed three lives and left one with life-long injuries... when the helicopter crashed into a hillside during a flight from Ohakea base in Manawatu to Wellington.
There has never been a full inquiry other than the military's own - which was aimed at preventing future accidents rather than apportioning blame.
Almost a decade later, Cabinet has approved funding for Michael Heron QC to carry out a "desktop review" of the accident - to find whether questions remain unanswered."

Looks like they now want to pin the blame on someone.

Makes me wonder what other events from the past does this government intend to reopen enquiries on so they can second guess past findings to make themselves look good to their voters....

Well they have yet to implement some of the recommendations from the CoI so they should probably get on with that, 9 years should have been long enough.
