Does anyone here happen to collect any of the newspapers or magazines that were published within the New Zealand Division, 2NZEF, during the Italian campaign (1943-45) in WWII?
I am aware there was a fortnightly magazine called "Cue", I have a copy of No. 16 of that one.
I believe there was a newspaper called "NZEF Times" though I have never owned a copy.
And I have seen a magazine of cartoons and funny stories from 1945 called "Johnny Enzed in Italy", which took a lighthearted look at kiwis in Italy.
Does anyone here collect this sort of publication? Can you recommend others to look out for? Were there any magazines that told true stories of kiwi soldiers' actions and lifestyle in Italy, rather than just news stories from home or humourous nonsense to distract the readers?
