I was visited today by ex-RNZAF navigator Peter Pennell, who flew in Canberra bombers in Malaya and at home, as well as 42 Sqn Dakotas.
He said that next year, he thought from memory on the 7th of November 2007, there is to be a reunion for RNZAF Canberra aircrew members at the Classic Flyers Museum, Tauranga Airport, Mt Maunganui.
Peter said there are already 25 pilots and navigators registered and he thinks it will turn into quite a good affair. He wasn't sure if it's also open to groundcrews.
I thought I'd mention this here in case anyone who's interested and isn't yet aware of the reunion may be alerted. I will try to get more details from Peter when he gets back home (to London) and has access to the information.

It isn't! I was involved with the organiser, Gavin Trethewey, initially, and it became clear that due to the numbers it will be aircrew only. I've been invited, but I told Gavin I felt it would be intrusive of me ro attend an aircrew, and specifically Canberra aircrew, reunion. So I'm not going, but I know a helluva lot of those who are! I've seen the list!
I remember Peter Pennel, has his voice dropped yet?

No.
Pity groundcrews won't be involved too.
