A WW2 Luftwaffe Me 323 Gigant has been found off Sardina. It is believed to be the only example to survive the war. According to the article only 200 Gigants were made and were able to carry tanks and half tracks. They were very slow and prey to fighters. The Teelgraph site looks good for articles on WW2. They also have an article about an five members of a RAF Lancaster crew being found this month after 69 1/2 years MIA. They were thought to have gone down into the sea.

There's a main spar at the Luftwaffen Museum at Gatow, Berlin; I think that's the largest bit of one to survive above water at present. Looks like a boom from a construction crane.

It was an amazing aircraft,theres some good footage of the triple tow they used to get the glider version up in the video below.When one combination crashed it was the worst air crash up to that time,129 people were killed.
