I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their amazing images of the 29th Sept. I was there but my photos seem a bit "limp" in comparison. Some wonderful shots. 10/10 to the couple who dressed up in the RAF uniforms of the era. Thanks to everyone.

That looks like the best collection of anything, ever. Superb, wish I could have seen it with my own eyeballs.

Spectacular photos guys, tops. Congratulations to Avspecs and also the organisers of the show, it was a huge success if you ask me! I had a brilliant time, I'm so glad I made it. Only bad thing was the lack of good photos, I was literally weak at the knees, I'm still trying to comprehend what I witnessed yesterday! Especially seeing the Anson's airshow debut as well, I felt pretty lucky. One question - does anyone have an almost square side on shot of the mosquito taking off? Haven't had the time to look elsewhere on the net for such a photo so thought I'd see if anyone had one as I'm very keen to draw it from this angle. Cheers guys, and thanks for the photos!

hey hey hey, some nice shots their guys. Wish I had been there too.. some people have mentioned an air force chopper, in one case spoiling the noise of the merlins in flight. Did they take a NH90 there.

Hi chaps, well just settled back home in Christchurch after probably one of the best weekends (at least aviation-wise) in my life. Gavin made a comment about the silence from the crowd. It was almost as if we didn't want to say anything, what could you say really? The tension was broken though when someone nearby had his cellphone go off and everyone laughed and calls of "Tell them to call back I'm watching a Mosquito" were heard. Then the Mosquito flew past low and fast and I'm not ashamed to say I had tears in my eyes when that familiar shape and sound I've seen and heard on YouTube or the TV washed over us. It was like a dam had broke and everyone was turning to one another going "wow" and "listen to that!" The last pass in the first display I put my camera down and just enjoyed the experience of seeing her fly past. The Mosquito was for me the highlight but a few of us got to experience a few other extras. I'm starting a thread called "Five go to Ardmore" where I and most of the 5 talk about the weekend and show photos. (Just a warning: there may be Austers!) Here's my first couple of photos for now and I realise that there are much better ones but I think its nice for everyone to put a photo up that they took themselves. Resting ready for the next flight: Iconic aircraft together again. Spitfire, Mustang, Kittyhawk and Mosquito: And a couple from the final public display with some very Corsair like flying by Mr Skilling! And finally one of 2 of the 5 I mentioned standing in front of history. Anthony Galbraith and his son Cameron. We asked Cameron later that night what was his favourite aircraft flown during the show. With no hesitation he says "Mosquito!"

Interesting to read Gavin's comment on the previous page about everyone going quiet when the Mosquito flew - so true! I was up on the aero club deck most of the day and there must have been about 300 people up there making the usual amount of noise but the second the Mosquito came into view it was literally just silence apart from the sound of the engines, a really special moment and something I'll remember for the rest of my life.

I had the 633 Squadron theme on my cellphone and played it on speaker during the first display. Everyone around me seemed to "get it" and had a good chuckle. It was just a tinny cellphone speaker and was easily drowned out by the sound of the engines during the actual passes, so I hope no-one is too annoyed if it shows up on the soundtrack of their videos
