Can anyone confirm this to be ZK-DWW hiding in its own hangar on the far side at Hastings/Bridge Pa? /http://s18.postimage.org/61mibps95/Allen_s_New_Zealand_933.jpg/ Many thanks Allen PS sorry but cannot remember the exact way to get photo to appear. What am I doing wrong, please?

The image code is slightly wrong, the backslashes / shouldn't be there between img and http and jpg and img and the last image box should have a backslash in it../img. Looks like the pointy end of an Cessna to me...

It's 185 ZK-CBY.
DWW will be a long way off I would say. Has to be rebuilt. Is in the first hangar on the left as you drive in the gate, along with CAN also being rebuilt

Thanks for the suggestion. The hangar is on the far side from the control tower so does that make a difference? Sorry to be so long in coming back on this but am away from the UK at present. Allen

Okay; so what did DWW do to earn a place in Bruce's Cessna factory?
I see the A188B CSK has gone from outside at Jim Frogley's - has it found shelter somewhere (hope so!)?

It's not a suggestion, it is ZK-CBY. Trust me MDC had a landing mishap (flipped on it's back) at Fox Glacier about a year ago. It's currently sitting pretty idle (I believe waiting for ZK-CAN to be finished) still in Mt Cook Skiplane colours, though it has started to be stripped. Wings, tail engine etc all off. It will be rebuilt as DWW. Not sure about CSK though I think there is a 188 in the factory, could be it ?

Pretty sure most of the one inside is DHX although there are other bits around too, including a rear fuse painted to look like an RNZAF P51. I'd love to know the story behind that.

So why not resurrect a 6-year-old thread? I see a photo of DWW alive and well on the Civair site, so can someone fill us in on progress with CAN and whatever 188 is first in line? It's a long time since I've seen that hangar open
