A Hurricane Mk XIIa (G-HURI) flying as ‘Z5140’, with the code letters HA-C will be up for auction on 3/12/2012 at the Bonhams sale of Collectors’ Motor Cars and Automobilia at Mercedes-Benz World Brooklands – the spiritual home of the Hurricane – in Weybridge, Surrey, UK. Estimated value US$2.7 million. |

Here it is in a former guise wearing the serial Z7381 and 71 (Eagle) Sqn markings.  Interesting to find out if it sells, it's been owned by the same collection for a few years now. |

This same Hurricane can be seen flying in the "Inside New Zealand" episode on Sir Tim Wallis, broadcast around 1997.
According to a post on the HAC Facebook page she failed to sell.
