There's a guy on TradeMe parting out a Cherokee 140 up North.
Would that provide it?

If this is for a certificated aircraft you may need to get the exact model and a list of other aircraft that share that same component. It would normally be a tricky mod to incorporate, it seems you are seeking to get the machine airworthy. If that is the case then the work sheets should be taking Parts 21 and 43 etc into consideration as the job progresses. I assume this is the case and would be much the same as what Baz is doing with his Auster.
There are various Bulletins about on the fuel cocks as well, certainly the ones fitted to Piper aircraft. We would normally be doing a routine inspection and relube every 400 Hrs.

The cropmaster seems to be a bit special. They never had a parts manual and re fuel cocks type used seems to vary along the way. Best we can do is replicate the one I am trying to replace, but no proof it is the one off my aircraft.

Wow, no parts manual. Things were certainly done differently back then. It would make the conformity inspection interesting.
I just have a thing about aircraft fuel systems, especially on the older fleet we seem to be operating these days. I shudder when I see talk of guys nonchalantly replacing fuel caps and the likes. Of course completely oblivious to the publications and the knowledge that has been compiled within them.
I am sure the Cropmaster components must have come off common aircraft back in the day. It should make the modern day search a little easier also.

Would a Cropmaster selector be the same as the parent CAC Wackett? Those are pretty rare too!

The one I have has no part #'s which is in itself odd. However I doubt that the fuel selector used in wackett with radial engine would be suitable for injected Continental (IO 470 E). Mine was the only one to come out with 260 hp from new, though a number were retro fitted as the standard IO 470 R was a bit of a dog.

This is roughly how it went together. The valve clamps to lower starboard longeron and extension positions selector lever at about waist height when seated Attachments:

That is a great example of exfoliation corrosion on the body of the valve, WOW. Dont recognise it however. Go with an Andair selector valve with an extension handle (they do those as well), they do a duplex valve for an injection return system/ They arent cheap but it will save a whole lot of grief trying to find one and they are very nicely built. www.andair.co.uk/system/index.html
