War veteran parade float tragedy

Wow, I just saw on the news that a truck carrying a group of wounded war veterans in a parade in the USA crossed a level crossing despite bell and light signals and barrier arms coming down, and the flatbed trailer was struck hard by a train. Four veterans were killed and several badly injured. What an awful thing for those poor people, on a day that was meant to honour them. Very sad.

That's shocking! I think it's something like 150 cars and trucks get rammed by trains at crossings every year in the US.
