Anyone been watching Black Sheep Squadron on tv? Not sure if you get it in NZ but it's a pretty good show.Love Corsairs in it and it gives you a good idea of what the bases in the Pacific were like.

I wouldn't call Black Sheep Squadron terribly educational, Luther, but it is great fun to watch.

I used to watch reruns of the series when I was a teen. I loved the Corsair and Zero (replica) action.
Now that I'm older and know a lot more about the true Pacific history, I think Black Sheep Squadron is a load of crap. Poor acting, the stories are nothing like real life as far as I can tell. And the lifestyle and conditions seems such a crock from what I recall.
Great warbirds though. Probably most of them have been written off at Reno and Oshkosh now I'd guess.

I remember it as a kid. Wasn't interested in any storyline or lack thereof, just the machines

The story lines are a bit whacky,like when they captured the Jap and made him play in a ping pong comp.
I only really watch it for the plane scenes.
