Someone posted a photo of the trial Devon scheme on here a couple of years back (Shorty maybe?). Both the Harvard and the Devon looked very striking and nice in those trial schemes.
That's a great photo of NZ1015 Marty.

That's been for sale for ages, and on Trademe before, and discussed here too. One of the co-owners is Dave Lochead of Blenheim.
Grab it Baz, it's a rare one that one.

Not its actual demise though Baz, as it did not become an instructional airframe for a further six years in 1957. In between times it flew with the TAF in 1956 and 1957.

The Camo one or the US scheme one, Baz? I had heard one of them was ex-RNZAF and assumed it was the US one. Here's another, nice to see where these cam from, back home;

Here's another, nice to see where these cam from, back home; The one in the US scheme, I think its actually in this thread somewhere. Was NZ1051 in the RNZAF. The camo one isn't ex-RNZAF and is Canadian built. It is painted as one used by the RAAF 3 Squadron in the Western Desert (one of 3).

Does anyone have details of the SNJ Harvards that were flown by kiwis in the Pacific, at Santo and perhaps other places? No. 25 Squadron operated some of them I believe, and maybe other RNZAF squadrons such as the Avenger units?

"Force landed at Redwood in 1974" Is that Redwood the suburb of Christchurch (and where I live) or in the North Island?
