If you get a chance to go see the RNZAF Band, do it. They are excellent, really well worth it and a cheap night out.

RNZAF Band tour the South Island: 19 - 24 February 2007
The 65 members of the Central Band of the Royal NZ Air Force will be winging their way around southern New Zealand in February. These performances by New Zealand’s largest professional symphonic band will be jam-packed with “a bit of something for everyone” with musical variety ranging from the classics to jazz and modern hits, from Dvorak to the Village People. Conducted by RNZAF Director of Music, Flight Lieutenant Owen Clarke, the concerts will entertain all ages. The low ticket price is: Adults $12 and Children under 14 FREE!
