According to South African media, on 5th December a C47TP crashed in a mountainous region near Nelson Mandelas residence, with 11 fatalities and nil survivors. I didn't realise that the South African Air Force was still flying the C47. According to Wikipedia they operate nine and all have been converted to turboprop (C47TP).

Sad news. I wonder if any of the ex-RNZAF ones that went there are still flying with them?

Fairly sure all ex RNZAF aircraft after PT6 etc conversion went to the USA ' The crashed C47TP was 6840 cn13866 ex KG767 It was en route to Mthatha airport where on 7th November 6877 cn11925 also aC47 TP was badly damaged in a landing accident No injuries ,just the Female pilots pride .
