That sounds like a mission for Baz and I to explore, and anyone else interested?
Let me know if I can be of any assistance at the bay
Cheers Anthony

Count me in if you need another pair of hands or eyes to search. Though I think missions of this type usually require more fast talking skills to get one past the farm gate and into forgotten barns and hay sheds.

I went out there in the early 1980s at the request of Bunny Darby and collected the fuselage fuel tank and transported it back to my house in Riccarton from where he collected it and took it north.

Well Nev, that fuel tank is now sitting in the steel front portion of the airframe at Dairy Flat and looks pretty good. See page 3 of this thread. Bring back some memories?

Don Subritzky has sent this current photo through, via so Steve Subritzky. It's looking terrific. I love this project!

Oh my....how remarkable!!! These guys amaze me with their various projects. I doubt anyone else in the world would have brought back a Baffin like this. I know I certainly didn't!

Yes, Don has been concentrating on the Baffin and the Anson for some time now. Steve is still working on the Vincent when he gets time.

Great work! Just peering at the photo, is the fuselage wooden construction, at least partially?

Yes, the Baffin was largely wooden, as opposed to the Vildebeest and Vincent which was mostly metal.
