This is the link to an internet friend of mine who has started to write about flying. He began writing about his current freight flying job but has moved on to writing about flying B-52's. They are great pieces and I find them fascinating. I think that anyone with an interest in aviation should at least take a look at them.

He didn't write a lot then? Writers' cramp?

Quite interesting read. I liked the terms ridiculous o'clock and ludicrous o'clock. Always wondered why thay flew with that nose down attitude. Interesting no ailerons.

Isn't there a difference between the original model and the G/H with regards the tail and rudder. Bigger. Yes no ailerons, mmm must be a handfull in turbulence. Ejecting downwards sounds a bit scarey, esp at low level.

Ejecting downwards sounds a bit scarey, esp at low level. At least they could eject. IIRC in the early Vulcans only the pilot & copilot could eject. The other three had to take their chances. Readit many many years go.

Like I said I read it many many years ago and it was in a book. IIRC = If I remember correctly. So I can't give you a link nor a specific reference.
