Just wondering what you all are doing with models whilst on holiday -too hot outside!
I'm working on two TA-4K skyhawks and an English Electric Lightning in desert camo with extra rocket launchers and missiles! The skyhawks are the first time I've done anything with resin, and with one being a Classic kit, have really challenged me!

Forgot to mention - for this build I am seeking the two 'C' white code letter decals for the cowling, if anyone has some or has, for instance, Ventura's old NZ5255 'C' Irate Donald Duck in 1/32nd they would part with? I also need suitable size black serial numbers and will post the size measurements tomorrow. The same size as NZ5416 Tutae Wera's serial numbers in 1/32nd scale. PM me if you can help? Many Thanks, Wally.

Hi Paul I have started the old Revell P40E kit (1/32), plan to build it as NZ3008 HQ-B "Umslopogaas" 14 (Fighter) Squadron. i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm13/oldcrowfilms/14Sqn.jpgI'll do a buld WIP as soon as I get a little more done. Have a few other kits that need finishing as well. Regards Alan

No modelling in the near future sadly as Sam and I are looking for our own place and all my supplies are stored in her folks' garage. I am, however, working on a wanted/to-do list for later on.
Does masterminding the 1:72 Fletcher kit production run count? :-P

Hi all, Nice to finally have a bit of down time to do one or two things I hardly have time for these days, read a book and work on one of my kits! Continuing with a series of German Night Fighters. Ho 229, Do 335, He 219 and an Ar234 all completed over the years, and finally found the dragon Me262 but it has sat for ages and ages...also a Defiant to add to my BoB collection too which needs to be started. And the last one remaining to be started is an A4 with RNZAF decals. 1:48 of course.

Still working on my fletcher however I also have a 1/72 scale F-18C Hornet on the table. In 2008 I visited Meringen Air Force base in Switzerland and was entranced with the access to the airfield, the proximity you can get to operating jets and the frequency at which they move around. I am doing the NATO Tiger special paintwork that was applied to J-5011 in 2007. The 1/72 Hasegawa Hornet is simple but aged and as much as I was not going to do much to it, I have built the wings so I can 'unbuild' them so the slats and flaps can be down. I also am working on an Aires cockpit for it and would like to try some of the Eduard per coloured etch. As I heard Anthony mention on his Wings Over New Zealand show, sometimes you need some new plastic in the bench to freshen your perspective and it certainly moves quicker than my fletcher!
I also have the Hasegawa F-14a Iranian Tomcat in the box on the bench corner. I read Tom Cooper's Iranian F-14 Units in Combat a while ago and have been fascinated with their history and use in that service since. Might add a different F-14 to the model show table as well, last show I went to had 5 models with 'jolly rogers' CAG decals on them which made it hard to stand out from the crowd!

Having unpacked my bench I've decided to try and finish my existing WAW builds: 1:72 JetRanger ZK-HTM with spray gear 1:72 Beaver ZK-BXN 1:50 Squirrel ZK-HFA with spray gear
There's also a 1:144 Fieldair DC-3 to be finished, and a 1:32 diecast JetRanger to be painted, again, as ZK-HTM.
The final project I've been working on for some time is a 1:72 scratchbuilt Fletcher, which I finally decided will be ZK-CBG as a 300hp variant. Thread on that will be posted in the weekend...maybe!

Well my table is clear! Just finished a chipmunk in bbmf colours as well as two 1/48 T skyhawks- a gold one and an early green and brown version. Both were hideous kits and got to the point of getting the things done! Not sure what to start next!
