The show is still on, the removal of the thread has nothing to do with any cancellation!
The thread was removed because I was contacted by airshow management who were concerned about a lot of the illinformed and negative things people were saying in the thread, and there was a question of legal action against at least one member of the forum who had been posting.
I appealed on the thread for calm and for an end to the negative speculation, considering that the airshow hasn't even happened yet but some people were willingly writing it off without giving them a fair go. I was already very concerned about the tone of the thread and some posts before I was contacted by the airshow manager.
After my appeal one particular member chose to ignore that all together and posted a very over the top post, which could easily have undone all the fence mending that I had done behind the scenes. There is simply no way I was going to allow such crap to continue, so the thread is gone. If people who intend to go wish to start a decent, positve thread I have no problem, but any negative, pessimistic remarks will be removed. You have been warned.
