All, Mike Bennett at: MBenShar@aol.com has asked for help on the details at his "Project 'Get out and walk'" website: _________________________________ "I thought you might like to know I've put the draft RNZAF page online - available via (http://www.ejection-history.org.uk): www.ejection-history.org.uk/Country-By-Country/New_Zealand.htm Have you any NZ contacts who might be able to furnish more info such as pilot images etc. please??" ________________________________ I have noticed the last ejection has No.75 Sqdn listed whereas I thought it was a No.2 Sqdn TA4? I'll pass on that correction. If I'm wrong.... :-) Phil.

I have noticed the last ejection has No.75 Sqdn listed whereas I thought it was a No.2 Sqdn TA4? I'll pass on that correction. If I'm wrong.... :-) Phil. It was a 2 Sqn exercise they were on and a 2 Sqn TA-4 that went down, but it was being flown by a 75 Sqn pilot who had gone over to help out (by that stage we really only had enough A-4 pilots for one operational Sqn). Glen Turner is the person who has all the detail on the NZ ejections.

I've got access to the old seat bay board that has the data plates of the all the succesful ejections post 1970. Except of course barnsey's one, we never recovered the seat, but did have duplicates of the Escapac S/N label. I'm not sure if the guy running the site is after that kind of info though.

All, Thanks for your help. You are welcome to contact Mike Bennett directly (MBenShar@aol.com) via his e-mail contact. As I don't know what the data plates of the ejection seats contain I would not know if Mike is after that detail but you never know. I will e-mail Glen Turner to ask him to contact Mike Bennett. Phil.

I had no idea that Len Trent bailed from a Vampire and Meteor as well as his Ventura. I never read that far in the book, only till the end of the war. Might have to read the other half.
After he'd had three forced exits, I'd feel a little unsure of getting in the plane with him. :-)
