CTC Aviation also have a fleet of Cessna 172s based at Hamilton. These are the Toyota Corollas of the aviation world. Boring, I know, but I happen to like them, so there. I have more hours clocked up in 172s than in anything else. They got ZK-CTD and CTP new ZK-CTZ also came new, but that registration must stir some memories amongst those who have been around Hamilton for many years ZK-DMW came to them after a few years at North Shore ZK-FCR was bought new ZK-JMC came via Massey University ZK-JMG has done a there-and-back to Queenstown ZK-JMY has had a few owners in NZ ZK-JZM is a rebuild of ZK-OUI which had a swim in the sewage pond at Thames back in '08 ZK-KOL had a few months at Palmerston North before arriving at Hamilton ZK-WKT came via an Auckland owner and finally, ZK-ZAQ came in from Australia

And ZK-XYZ/4. Also DA42s ZK-CTH and ZK-CTK.
I don't claim to have got them all in one afternoon's visit. So I'm planning a return visit week after next.

Of course not all the active aircraft were part of the CTC fleet. The airlines got a bit of a look-in, with DHC-8-311 ZK-NET/2 and 1900D ZK-EAF/2 passing through Cresco ZK-LTX of Farmers Air departed, and then came back. Engine work apparently. The aero club Robins (or Alphas, if you insist) ZK-WKF and ZK-WJH got a bit of an airing The local Pitts S-2S ZK-PFA went up for a bit of a practice session which seemed to go OK, judging by the smile on the return
