I was at Hamilton Airport today and caught this one at the pumps just before it was topped up. And this one arrived just before I left. Cheers

New Plymouth-based Piper Navajo ZK-MJF of the Taranaki Air Ambulance Trust seems to be a regular caller at Hamilton, arriving mid-afternoon during my stay A couple more 1900Ds, ZK-EAA and ZK-EAG, came through later in the afternoon Followed by bigger brother ATR ZK-MCF Fletcher Fu-24 ZK-EHW had flown in just before my own arrival, and had some adjustments made at Superair. It later departed from the short grass 26 runway By the time the Navajo Chieftain ZK-NSP of Taupo Search and Rescue Services landed, the afternoon was beginning to close in So it was time to harness up the Aerobat and scuttle home. A most interesting afternoon. There are no longer many regional airfields that can offer such consistent and varied traffic during a normal working day.

It was a nice night last night. Out of Auckland we could see right across to the BOP, even Napier as we ventured further south. The mountains have a lot of snow on them, highlighted by the moonlight. Should be a a good season for the snow people. And even Hamilton was not shrouded in fog.

Carried out another flying visit to Hamilton yesterday. Fine but cold. Caught up with a few more of the CTC fleet. Cessna 172S ZK-XYZ (actually XYZ/4) has been with them for almost a year while 172S ZK-ZDM is a 2013 addition DA42 ZK-CTK dates back to 2006
