I have been researching home building using 6061-T6 tube. The stuff costs an absolute fortune here! I work closely with a local extruder who is able to supply 6061-T6. I am considering holding stock for the home builders market at a more realistic price. What I really want to know is how much demand there is.
I would be very keen to hear from anyone who is building/is thinking of building with tube. What profiles do you need and what sort of quantities would you need? I would have to purchase a minimum order quantity and I don't want to hold several kilometers of 6061 if no one buys it!
