RAANZ 2013 National Fly-in Gore Airfield Hosted by Recreational Aircraft Association of New Zealand Along with - The Gore Aero Club (web page) www.goreaeroclub.com/The Fiordland Aero Club The Southland Recreational Aircraft Club March 8-9-10 Please make your bookings for accommodation early as there are a number of events on in the area in early March 2013 You can book through the Gore Information Centre (03) 203 9288 or their website. In the Gore Area there are several hotels, many motels, Back Packers and a camping ground. The Gore Aero Club facilities will be available for those who wish to camp on the airfield - no charge. If it rains there will be a surcharge.

If I'd known about this earlier I'd have had it on the forum calendar. I have added it now but it's a bit pointless. I need to be told about events to get them up there so people can plan ahead.

My comment is a general comment - not spcifically about this event - I need to be told so i can advertise things on the calendar. I'm not sure where it was advertised but I haven't seen it as I am not involved in RAANZ. I am always happy to promote events here for clubs and whoever though. This forum is all about the aviation community and people making contact with others.

No worries as most of the major mags have failed to list it only one has done so......

certainly plenty of aircraft passing over head our strip yesterday.clagged in most of today, managed half hour in air at 5 pm, cloud base 1800 ft asl.

I called in early today to catch most before they departed. Good range of LSA. I believe this the future of GA in NZ. I was most impressed with the 75% scale replica of Albatross. Complete with Toyota Corolla engine. Tom designed and built the aircraft from scratch and the workmanship is a credit to him.
