We will be running an Aerojumble stall at Classic Fighters this year. Aerojumble stalls are popular at overseas shows , so we thought we would give it a try at CF this year. On the stall we will be selling a range of warbird and other aircraft parts , instruments, uniforms, aviation books, memorabilia etc. Anyone can bring items along to sell on the stall for a 10% commission which will go the Aviation Heritage Centre at Omaka. Already we have a range of items including parts from Oxford, Mosquito , Corsair and Harvard. We will be located in the main aeroclub hangar next to restoration row and can receive items from Thursday afternoon onwards. If you want to send items in advance, please PM me. If you want to buy something then you will need to come to show as we are unable to handle any pre sales. See you there!

Really pleased to see this introduced at CF Mike ! Been too long since we had any sort of aero jumble at a New Zealand airshow. I'll sell something of the wife's, and bring some cash ;D

More items arrived today. A range of fabric patches, RNZAF crests, some flying clothing ( masks, helmet liners etc), some english wartime instruments and a box of later instruments ( probably fletcher judging by labels) and new copies of Charles Darby's excellent book "pacific aircraft wrecks ".

Do you mean new-condition old copies, or has that book been reprinted? Last time I saw one for sale it was over $200.
Our Library had a copy but the twits there sold it off in one of their 50c sales! And not to me!

What a bout putting this stuff online so we can all have a crack This is for the airshow attendees Craig, no point putting it online. Although perhaps after the show they could do an online auction?

Hi Craig, Dave is correct -the idea is to attract people to the show. However we might look at offering left over items on trademe after the show, but that is a bit difficult to do for items being sold on behalf.
Dave - I think the Charles Darby book is a reprint. Not sure on price yet.

Fair enough! But if you do decide to sell online after weekend... Why not on this site instead if TM. Maybe sellers could donate the equivalent commission (as they would have paid selling thru TM) to Dave. Just putting it out there!

Thanks to Mike, Deborah & Co for running this. It was great and I managed to add several specimens to my instrument collection which will help complete some of my panels. An excellent concept and I hope it was sufficiently worthwhile for them to repeat at CF15. Thanks guys.

I talked to many people who were very happy customers of the aero jumble, well done Mike and team. I am sure this will become a regular fixture at the airshow.
