It was pretty much the same display as Masterton, well it was from where I was sitting. Maybe a little bigger with the wing overs and a little tighter with the turns  |

Bugger. Nearly finished loading more photos and accidentally closed the window! This is how the Yak52 team opens thier display with a low pass from behind the crowd and into the airfield and up into a loop.  These guys are good!    Wrong war for that salute buddy!  Sopwith Triplane  Left? Right? Ah I'll go this way!  FW190 over the fence to land   Keith Skilling taxies his baby back.  Roaring Forties roaring overhead.  Hope they fix NZ1053's roundels one day soon it looks odd with the kiwi facing backwards!! And only one wing has NZ1053 paintedunderneath. Must have run out of paint or time. |

Hello Everyone. Well what a weekend! Congratulations to everyone involved with the show, simply unforgetable. Too many highlights but the variety of aircraft and flying routines were awesome. The weather though ominous on the Sunday ..held...and made for some stunning cloud backdrops. Accomodation was great, atmosphere was excellent. You Kiwis have some very special stuff going on down there. For a bit of a change of pace , heres some Sunset shots that I think came out OK ... There was a lot of moisture about on Friday morning, the grass was soggy with dew, I got pretty wet shoes and socks wandering around taking these photos. Saturday and Sunday wasn't damp underfoot at this time.   The die hards arrive  Some views of the grounds   First in, best dressed!  |
