Anzac link for match ball drop Supporters at todays (27-4-13) Chiefs must-win home game will see the match ball delivered by a New Zealand Defence Force helicopter. In a move to drive recruitment and honour the Anzacs, a Seasprite SH-2G Helicopter will drop into Waikato Stadium to make the delivery. The six-tonne machine is impressive with its 13.4m rotor diameter and is 16.1m in length. The Seasprite is 4.6m in height with a lifting capacity of 1814kg. It operates from the navy's Anzac frigates, off shore patrol vessels and HMNZS Canterbury. It can be armed with a combination of homing torpedoes, depth charges, Maverick air to surface missiles and a M60 machine gun. New Zealand's navy, army and air force are recruiting for a variety of different roles.
