Has anyone out there in Photoland got any photos of Fieldair's Air Tractor ZK-SNO? Bruce Peterson, who flew it from new, would like a photo as he has nothing. Neither do I so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Graeme.

Tell Bruce to get in touch with Ray Deerness, as he should have some photos of it taken during fields evaluation trials in 95, while working out of Gissy. Pretty sure it wasn't a new airframe when it arrived, as it had been working in Australia as vh aqc, could be wrong though. There is a photo of it taken by Ray in a wings issue June 1995.

I have a few pics of AT-502B Air Tractor VH-AQC taken at Feilding, and having maintenance carried out at Fieldair in Palmerston North as ZK-SNO. I seem to remember that it was assembled at Auckland International Airport, by Fieldair Australia with some help from a company from Ardmore. It was definitely brand new when it arrived, as it was a demonstrator, and to hopefully push for a few more sales. John McDowall from Feildair Australia came over to test fly it. It first went to Blenhiem before heading to Gisborne. Photobucket is not playing the game on posting them here, but I could email them to you? Somewhere I also have an old VHS video of SNO working in the Gisborne area with Bruce flying it, I think it runs for about 40 odd minutes.

It was definitely brand new when it arrived This aircraft was registered as VH-AQC to Field Air (Ballarat) Pty.Ltd., Ballarat, SA on 17Nov1994, cancelled 24Oct1995 as sold in NZ where it became ZK-SNO to Field Air (Ballarat) Pty.Ltd., Palmerston North on the 25th. Does not mean that it was actually used in Australia 1994/95 of course.

Yes, believe I was wrong. It was a demonstrater, I thought it saw active service too, but obviously not. Thanks

Thanks to Andrew for some good photos of SNO in the hangar at Fieldair, Palmerston North. Here is one from Don Noble, taken at Farmers Air, Gisborne 15th March 1997 when I was working there.
