Apparently it is technically feasible for Vulcan XH558 flying life to be extended. They are trying to raise £400,000 by October in order to get the work done. Details are at this link: operation2015.org/index.html

Thats good news. I confess that in the back of my mind I rather hoped something like this would happen, lets hope they can pull it off. Steve.

It's certainly something to see in full flight! Beautiful airplane, and I hope it pans out for them though I understood the airframe was time -expired?

Wow, that is good news. That Vulcan keeps going and going, just hope if they can keep it flying for years to come, that the Vulcan's crew can stay airworthy too.

The Vulcan does look real impressive in the sky. I saw one a couple times as a kid in the 1960s when they were here, large and noisy hanging over Gore at low level. Never forgot it and I am pleased that one will still be seen flying again.
