Around a month ago a group of Local and previous Locals and invited guests gathered at Stratford Aerodrome for the first practice session in Clear Stratford Skies. Aircraft in Attendance were .......
Sonarei's ZK-SNW,ZK-SND,ZK-SNJ
Starlet ZK-ONE
RV-4 ZK-RVH
RV-8 ZK-MRMThis day was to practice Buzz & Breaks and by all accounts was a successful day. As we all no Formation work takes a lot of effort but is hugely rewarding. At Stratford we have these ready made pylons care of Transpower which is rather helpful. Anyhoo heres a link to some pic's of the Team at rest. blogspotbigsky.blogspot.co.nz/

I saw all of those aircraft (minus one of the Sonerais) up at Whangarei not very long ago, they were obviously on a bit of a trip up north!

Current state of play is Single seater has one Wing finished and other just being corrosion proofed before wing Skins added then onto the Fuse....and engine fitting.
The other Sonarei is coming along although a two seater is going to be a single seater as well. We have been getting all the wing ribs drilled and clecoed in and Braces drilled and added should be complete wings in a couple weeks when riveted etc. Then again onto the Fuselage etc.
Both these planes wings have been built to a Plus and Minus 13g wing spec....!!!!!!!!!! The two seater from the G wing Spec. Single seater has always been to the G spec.
