An interesting post on Kermit's Facebook page about his newly restored DH.4s.
It sounds like the company that did the restoration did not do an acceptible job, and the work will need to be redone to meet airworthy standards.
The interesting thing is that the company that claims to have done the restorations is also the one that built the DH.4 replica that TVAL have in Masterton. I wonder if the work on that was up to scratch?

Its the same story for the nz dh.4, its a bunch of firewood.... the story was TVAL will only build there own from now on.

That's a shame. Can it be used as a static exhibit? It might look great at Wigram in NZPAF colours.

Why are the standards they are built to unacceptable? inaccurate, or not air worthy?
