Hi guys
Well, I have taken the plunge and am going to get an RNZAF Skyhawk panel and HUD made using 3D printing technology. If anyone wants one then PM me and I will let you know where I am at. I have the price for CAD work done and am looking to getting it printed. I have supplied a pile of detail photos and measurements etc for a superdetailed unit.
If I can get enough people wanting one and you are happy to confirm it with me, I will go ahead and include you in the 'group'. If it works out well and everyone likes it we can get other Skyhawk stuff made (like stores pylons or D704 buddy refuelling store etc?). Maybe even a T-Bird using the A-4M kit??? Ok maybe I am getting carried away.......
I am just happy to cover my costs to do this, but the more who want it the more we can save and make the Trumpy Skyhawk a masterpiece.
Let me know what you think
Cheers Anthony

Yes Dave, 1/32 for the Trumpeter kit. But I imagine it will go on the Hasegawa kit too.

I guess you can adapt the CAD drawings up and down to create other scales too? not suggesting you should, just thinking of the possibilities. A 1/1 scale panel might be attractive to some people.

Yes, I am sure that is quite easy for them to do. Maybe an option down the track.

Hey there Anthony, I'm about to start a Kahu Skyhawk build myself and need the cockpit. Are you still printing these?

Now finally available: Roy Sutherland wrote: The final new product , this one in 1/32 scale, is one that has been in development for quite some time now. It has gone through a number of design changes. It was originally going to be all resin cast with decals, but with the advent of new technology, it has become out first new set that contains 3D printed parts (in gray). BR32386 1:32 Douglas A-4K Kahu Skyhawk Conversion Contains a new, accurate and highly detailed instrument panel (with instrument face decals),coaming, gunsight with clear cast gunsight glass, and all necessary blade antennas to convert a 1/32 Trumpeter A-4E/F to the RNZAF Kahu Skyhawk. All parts except the clear gunsight glass and antenna sprue are 3D printed, and instructions will give tips on working with this medium. A quick and easy conversion. Master pattern by Kerry Carlyle. The gunsight glass is shown in primer gray, but production parts are clear cast resin. Primered panel and gunsight are production printed parts to show the detail. Thanks to Kerry Carlyle for working with me through all the changes and redesigns. I know there are a few New Zealanders who have been waiting quite a while for this set to become a reality. Thanks for your patience. 🙂 Happy modelling! Roy Source: www.facebook.com/groups/848474938507986/posts/5421233357898765

From Roy Sutherland of Barracuda: Hey, Ready Roomers and fans of the A-4 Skyhawk in particular. The three new A-4 sets are finished production and are being packaged. It was during packaging that i discovered that the droptank set will not fit in our standard ziplock bag or clamshell packaging. No worries, they fit in the rolltop boxes we sell our big B-1B sets in. This presents two easy to fix problems. First is that we are low stock on boxes. New boxes will be here early next week. We also need self adhesive labels for the droptank boxes. These are being designed and will be ordered ASAP. Turnaround is quick. The upshot of this is that the A-4K sets will be delayed until next week. This is the last hurdle to releasing them. The good news is that they will be available for purchase at the IPMS/USA Nationals in Omaha, Nebraska in less than 3 weeks. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
