Augusta Westland aren't having a good week or two. They have declined to bid for the US Presidential helicopter fleet replacements which they won originally with the AW101. They say that the new draft RFP favours their competitoe whom they didn't name. Sikorsky refused to comment. They are also hoping that they will eventually hand over the remaining 9 VIP AW101s to India despite a corruption probe by both Indian and Italian authorities. it is alleged that bribes were paid in order to obtain the order. So interesting times at Augusta Westland.
