Yes - I really do think that the USAF Wright-Patterson Museum is probably the 'best' Military Aircraft Museum out there ... lots of great ones of course, ( the USN one at Pensacola, RAF at Hendon, RNZAF at Wigram - all being right up there IMHO ) ... but Wright-Patt has such a unique collection, some great one-off machines, dioramas...and their Storage / Rebuild hangars are just neat...and over the hill from the Musuem is 'Huffman Prairie' where the Wright Brothers flew in 1904 / 1905 - it being the end of the tram line from Dayton for the Wrights. The Wright-Patt USAF Testing Center is also worth a visit ( but closed in recent years ). Some photos I took a few years back: Bockscar - the B-29 which bombed Nagasaki ( Enola Gay is in the Steve Udar- Hazy Center / Smithsonian at Dulles Airport outside Washington DC ) Great Display showing a training Ooops The P-36 is showing Pearl Harbour on the Sunday Morning - Lt Rasmussen in his PJs off to do battle The USAAC SE5E Display Great place .... Cheers Hvd1041

I like that idea of showing a training accident, interesting concept.
That P-36 Hawk looks pretty shiny. Surely they were not that shiny in service, were they?
