Wonderful to see.... And I can't wait to see both in the ar at the same time, would almost justify a trip to a North American airshow just for that!

Robert Peel was there a few weeks back and he reckons the first flight should be any day now.

Can anyone point me to a website with the details of how they've restored this aircraft. I guess I'd come to believe that the only way with a Mossie was the Glyn Powell way given the likely deterioration of even the best preserved airframs after 65+ years. Obviously I'm mistaken on that & I'd be keen to find out more. IIRC, there was mention in a recent Aeroplane/Flypast mag of one in the UK nearing the final stages of restoration too but not sure if this was intended to be a flyer? Thanks. Steve.

Tony Agar's one in the UK will only taxi, not fly.

I understand that the next Mosquito Avspecs are doing (T.III?) they were assessing the original fuselage for possible use? There is a YouTube video where they talk about the rebuild (well more of an overhaul really). Try searching for Victoria Air Services Mosquito and see what it gets you.

We were very spoiled with Avspec's progress updates during the rebuild of KA114 - they were almost as immaculate as the workmanship on the 'plane.
